Great Lakes Honda in Akron is hiring a Billing Accountant. We offer a competitive compensation package and a Monday - Friday 8am-5pm workday.
Job Summary: a Billing Accountant will post car deals to the general ledger and book inventory into our system. It’s a process-oriented position that requires good inter-office communication skills, someone with a strong background in accounting, and keen attention to detail.
Compensation: Very Competitive pay based on verified experience as a Dealership Biller
Schedule: In-office position, Monday-Friday 8am-5pm
Responsibilities:
- Posting New and Used Car Deals
- Posting to Intercompany accounts
- Bill retail vehicle deals, dealer trades and wholesales including all related accounting duties
- Audit deal paperwork for accuracy and ensure all sections have been completed (signatures, verify VIN, etc.)
- Compile reports on all money due from deals including, but not limited to: bank funding, deposits, rebates, sales proceeds, etc.
- RDR, Reconciliation with books at end of the month
- Schedules reviewed and maintained
- Record Used Car Purchases
- Processing Cash Receipts
- Process checks, maintain customer referrals
- Commission deals for sales staff
- Receipt in Wholesale and Funding checks
- Understand how to calculate taxes on deals (what is and is not taxable)
- Communicate with Finance Managers regarding deal discrepancies
- Maintain confidentiality of customer information, dealership policies and procedures, privacy, and compliance laws
Qualifications:
- Biller experience in an automotive dealership is required
- CDK experience is a plus
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
- Ability to analyze and research information is required
- Detail oriented and organized
