Position Overview:
Our client, a civil construction firm, is seeking a skilled Payroll Accountant to join their team. The Payroll Accountant will be responsible for processing payroll and managing accounts payable. The ideal candidate will have experience with Sage accounting software and a background in processing union payroll, preferably within a construction firm.
Responsibilities:
- Process payroll accurately and in a timely manner
- Manage accounts payable, including processing invoices and issuing payments
- Reconcile payroll and accounts payable transactions
- Prepare reports for management as needed
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in payroll accounting, preferably in a construction firm
- Proficiency in Sage accounting software
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience working with Unions
