The Company is a U.S.-based service provider specializing in commercial restoration, construction, and roofing, serving both domestic and international clients. The Accounts Payable Specialist provides crucial support to the Accounts Payable department, emphasizing the maintenance of current and uniform vendor contact databases, trade contacts, and compliance standards. Serving as the primary point of contact between vendors and the company, the AP Specialist ensures adherence to general compliance guidelines, maintains accurate contact databases, retains purchase orders, and categorizes vendors by their respective trades and locations. Establishing strong communication channels with vendors and fostering positive relationships with both vendors and the field team are integral aspects of the role. What You'll Be Doing: Utilize accounting software and other tools to oversee accounts payable tasks. Manage accounts payable for various entities and vendors. Scrutinize invoices to ensure proper documentation, comparing details like purchase orders, prices, payment terms, and additional charges. Input invoice and general ledger data accurately. Create Purchase Orders as needed. Manage correspondence across multiple email folders. Develop and sustain relationships with both new and established vendors. Perform monthly reconciliation of vendor accounts. Guarantee timely and precise processing of invoices while following departmental protocols. Handle transactions and execute accounting tasks like maintaining accounts, recording entries, and reconciling accounts. Aid in enhancing efficiency and optimizing the accounts payable procedure. Complete additional tasks and assignments as necessary. What you bring to the table: 2-3 years of Accounts Payable Experience Excellent Customer Service Approach when dealing with clients/customers.
