The role you’ll contribute:
Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all. The Nursing Administration Manager’s primary function is to represent and serve as a liaison between the Administrative team and employees, physicians, patients, families, and customers. To provides general supervision in the hospital and to facilitate communication among employees, patients, families, physicians and administration. Additional key functions include, but are not limited to: support and intervene as needed to solve patient care concerns and employee concerns; serve as the bed placement coordinator for patient placement, assist department leaders as needed to adjust daily staffing. Must demonstrate effective communication skills, conflict management skills, human relationship skills, team building, and the ability to facilitate change, promote the throughput goals and needs of the organization. Proficiently uses the electronic medical record for retrieval of patient information. Understands computer downtime. Demonstrates and supervises employee cooperation with the Our SHARED Vision and SHARE philosophy in the hospital setting. Advocate the patient satisfaction and the employee satisfaction goals of the organization. Adheres to the Florida Hospital Corporate Compliance Plan, to the rules and regulations of all local, state, and federal agencies and to the standards of all accrediting bodies.

- Nursing Admin Manager: Directs and provides supervision of Nursing Supervisors and others as assigned by monitoring performance, education requirements, required work hours, coaching, counseling, discipline and relationships with departments, staff and leadership.
- Assigns employees and schedules staff, utilizing supervisory discretion and independent judgment. Authorizes and assigns overtime to employees when determined to be appropriate. Responsible for the timely submission of department payroll biweekly. Enters time adjustments accurately. Reviews and approves PDO.
- Professionally represents Administration. Recognized for sound decision making and use of good judgment.
- Provides general supervision in the hospital and facilitates communication among employees, patients, families, physicians and administration.
- Serves as a liaison between Administration, employees, physicians, patients, families, customers and other facilities.
- Facilitates the throughput needs of the organization. Assists in assessment and evaluation of individual department needs as they arise. Conveys relevant patient information to the appropriate health care team member.
- Coordinates the bed placement for the patients in the hospital. Demonstrates the ability to cooperate with all patient care areas, physicians, office staff and other healthcare facilities to provide appropriate and timely patient placement.
- Demonstrates effective communication, conflict management and human relationship skills. Acts as change agent, mentor, and resource.
- Strengthens team building relationships, problem solving and decision making to promote proactive and professional interactions among the hospital team.
- Demonstrates the ability to organize activity, in response to changing work volumes, to meet the patient care needs. Assists department leaders to maximize and adjust available staffing.
- Responsible for the off shift and weekend add-on scheduling process for OR and procedural departments. Activate the call schedule for OR and procedural areas when indicated.
- Conducts regular patient and department rounds, is visible to employees, families and physicians. Is resourceful and recognized for efficient handling of patient care concerns.
- Demonstrate the ability to facilitate change. Coaches by example, verbalizes acceptance of new ideas, supports co-workers in analyzing and improving processes and takes appropriate actions to facilitate change.
- Consistently exemplifies a mature, professional disposition in attitude, appearance, responsiveness, teamwork, communication, confidentiality, and timeliness of service, ownership and safety awareness.
