Job description

San Ramon Valley Aquatics (SRVA) is seeking an assistant coach to cover practices for assigned age groups immediately.

SRVA is a year-round competitive swim team with high expectations for its swimmers and is dedicated to fostering a positive and safe environment to instill a love for the sport that will translate into successes far beyond the pool.  SRVA strives to bring out the very best in all levels of swimming from beginning novice to high performance.

The assistant coach is motivated and responsible to manage and plan workouts for the assigned groups and work with the coaching staff to develop championship-level swimmers through character traits and technical skills with individual goal settings and outstanding team spirit. 

Practices are held Monday through Friday between 4PM-8PM.  Depending on the training groups,  practices are also held on Mon-Wed-Fri-Sat mornings.  

Qualifications

• Coaching experience at the recreational, high school, club, or collegiate level.
• Strong communication, organizational, and administrative Skills.
• Must be current with all USA Swimming Coach membership, certifications, and requirements (see link)

Compensation

Starting at $40+/hour for hours worked plus overtime. SRVA offers competitive compensation based on qualifications.
