The School of Social Work at The University of Memphis invites applications for a non-tenure-track, 12-month position at the Clinical Assistant Professor level to start August 1, 2024. Position will include teaching and advising in either the Bachelor of Arts in Social Work or the Master of Social Work program. The position may also include training grant work depending on funding.

The teaching load is typically 5-5-2. Teaching load is reduced based on the amount of time assigned to advising or grant work.

The Bachelor of Arts in Social Work Program and the Master of Social Work Program are fully accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE).

Minimum Position Qualifications

(1) An earned MSW degree from a program accredited by the Council on Social Work Education.

(2) A minimum of two (2) years of post MSW practice experience.

(3) A minimum of one (1) year teaching experience in social work or a related field.

(4) Ability to advise undergraduate or master's level students.
