Job Responsibilities
- Category Leadership: Ability to define omni strategies that deliver sales and share growth to help position Sanofi as the “go-to” partner on thought leadership and category expertise in our departments with retailers.
- Retailer Focused: Understand the retailer’s strategy for the category and bring insights & ideas on how to drive category growth in sales and share for the retailer and Sanofi brands. Role will be responsible for driving deeper leadership engagement and influence in both the Sanofi categories in which we play and untapped white space opportunities.
- Category Analytics: Partners with Sales Team Lead, Sales Directors, NAMS to build the category analytics needed to drive Sanofi’s business at retail.
- Shopper Insights: Lead shopper insights projects for Walmart, partnering cross functionally with our Shopper Insights and CMI teams.
- Digital Analytics: Partner with Digital Center of Excellence to analyze Sanofi’s digital position on key retailer’s online sites and identify opportunities for optimization around digital shelf, content, performance, and offer.
- Shelf Analytics: This position should be able to determine and develop new ideas on how to optimize assortment, placement, or space to drive category growth for both the B&M and Digital shelf. There are no retailer advisory responsibilities today, but a strong focus on finding ways to optimize the shelf with an omni focused mindset. Must be willing to learn virtual reality shelving software and help develop the team on the capability.
- Team Development: Lead and Develop a team of 3 insights and sales analytics managers and analyst. Collaborate with broader Cat Man Team.
- Cross-functional Engagement & Partnership: Ability to partner & communicate with Senior Leadership and internal partners, such as Sales Strategy, Category Management, and Shopper Insights, advising on channel strategies, shelving recommendations and category opportunities from the retailer lens. This role also will need to lead and coach the team on how to leverage internal research and deliverables, translating them into tactics that drive category growth at the retailer.
About You
- 10+ years experience in CPG industry, Healthcare experience preferred with a minimum of 3 years Walmart Category Management and Shopper Insights experience
- Ability to analyze large sets of sales and shopper data, translate the insights into tactics, and present category growth opportunities to the retailer in a compelling way that drives action
- Strong collaboration skills across multiple functions- National Account Managers, HQ Category Management, Sales Strategy, Digital COE, etc..
- Exceptional communication skills with the proven ability to create fact-based presentations to translate sales objectives
- Ability to lead a team, but also willingness to jump in and do the analytics when necessary
- Advanced knowledge of Circana/Nielsen, Numerator, Kantar, Mintel, Luminate, etc.
- Working knowledge or willingness to learn systems like PowerBI, Virtual Reality Shelving Tools, Content Analytics tools
- Preferred Walmart & Target experience
- Related Bachelor’s degree with successful CPG Sales experience in Category Management/Insights/Sales Strategy

The salary range for this position is $142,000 to $200,000. In addition to sales incentive (role may my eligible for long term incentive depending on level and performance); all compensation will be determined commensurate with demonstrated experience.
