Keller North America is seeking a Senior Accountant to join the corporate Finance and Accounting team, based in Hanover, MD . The position provides exposure to personnel throughout the organization, as well as various processes that support our operations.
- Project accounting
- Responsible for accounting activities for the designated projects including understanding of the job cost data capture, billings, and sales agreements/contracts
- Work with project management to ensure costs are recorded in the correct weekly period and revenue recognition is in accordance with IFRS15
- Work with project management to ensure financial project accounting is accurate and compare monthly project forecasts and investigate variances to budget
- Participate in ad hoc projects analysis as necessary
- Regional accounting
- Ensure financial results are in accordance with IFRS and internal policies and procedures
- Analyze and investigate variances to budget and to prior month of indirect job costs, shop costs, equipment costs, and general and administrative costs
- Prepare accounting period-end entries and maintain the accounting records in accordance with policies and controls including preparation of relevant reconciliations
- Assist with the corporate monthly close process
- Provide support and justification for audit requests
- Other ad hoc inquiries as they arise
- Excellent interpersonal skills, allowing one to communicate with colleagues of all levels
- Self-motivated mentality and the ability to work independently
- Ability to prioritize tasks in an ever-changing environment and successfully meet deadlines
- Strong Excel skills including experience with formulas (VLOOKUP) and pivot tables
- Experience with IFRS, application of accounting policies and account reconciliations
- Three to five years related experience in accounting, construction preferred
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
