Job description
We are looking for a Staff Accountantfor our client, a construction company, in North Charleston, SC. This is a full time and onsite position.
Responsibilities:
Manage daily cash tasks including recording deposits, updating logs, and monitoring and collecting receivables
Collaborate with project managers to ensure accurate billings
Review accounts for the month end close process
Help file sales/use tax returns monthly
Prepare weekly and monthly reports for the accounting department
Conduct analyses on expense accounts and other relevant accounts as required
Verify documentation before processing payments and keep accounts receivable records updated
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree required
Strong understanding of general finance, accounting, and bookkeeping principles
Previous construction experience a plus!
Proficient in Microsoft Office products; specifically Excel
Strong attention to detail and communication skills
Compensation:
$50-70k depending on experience
