Director of Quality Opportunity in Electronics Manufacturing
Location: Champaign-Urbana, East Central IL - Enjoy the versatility of city or rural living with a low cost of living, just 2 hours south of Chicago and west of Indianapolis.
Position Type: Full-Time, Direct-Hire, On-Site
Salary: $150k+ based on experience, with a competitive bonus program

About the Role:
We're on the hunt for a visionary Quality Director to spearhead our quality assurance initiatives at a leading Electronics Manufacturing firm. This role is perfect for a seasoned Quality Manager or Director with a zeal for fostering quality excellence across the board. What You'll Do:
- Craft and refine our Quality Management Systems (QMS) to ensure stellar product reliability and exceed customer expectations, particularly in new product development.
- Lead and inspire a growing team of quality professionals, setting high standards and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Engage with various teams across the company to streamline processes and enhance overall quality.
- Ensure strict adherence to industry standards and regulations, safeguarding product safety and integrity.
- Build and maintain robust relationships with both suppliers and customers to bolster our quality initiatives.
- Leverage data and analytics to monitor, assess, and uplift quality metrics and KPIs.
- Spearhead the investigation and resolution of quality issues through thorough root cause analysis and effective corrective actions.
- Identify and implement strategic improvements to enhance efficiency and efficacy within the quality department.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- A rich background with 10-20 years in manufacturing, including 10+ years in Quality within industrial settings.
- At least 4 years in a Quality Management role, leading and developing teams.
- A Bachelor’s degree in a technical field, such as Engineering.
- Deep expertise in electrical/electronic product development and manufacturing (e.g., PCBs, Wire Harnesses, semiconductors, lighting, power supplies).
- A proven track record of driving change, mentoring teams, and fostering growth.
- Familiarity with KPIs, GMP, NPI, Six-Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, and QMS.
