Job Summary
Summary of Job FunctionProvides expert exercise physiologic care to patients in the cardiac rehabilitation program as part of a team approach.
Utilizes knowledge of exercise physiology to the rehabilitation department.
Job Qualifications/Education/Training/Certification/Licensure
Education:
Graduate with a Bachelor s degree in exercise physiology or related filed
Experience:
Experience working in a fitness facility giving individual exercise instruction and fitness testing
Certification/Licensure:
BCLS certified required
ACLS certification preferred
Work Environment and Hazards
Medications - Infrequent = Not daily occurrence
Chemotherapy - Infrequent = Not daily occurrence
Radiation - Infrequent = Not daily occurrence
Hostility - Infrequent = Not daily occurrence
Sharps - Occasional = up to 1/3
Animals - Infrequent = Not daily occurrence

Job Specific Requirements
Provides the overall supervision of the cardiac rehab maintenance program.
Completes an initial evaluation on each member of the program.
Provides an exercise plan based on the individual goals.
Supervises the member during workouts.
Keeps track of all members in the cardiac rehab maintenance program.
Promotes the program at CHW to increase participation.
Assists with the cardiac rehabilitation program through a team concept.
Demonstrates the ability to develop an exercise prescription.
Demonstrates competence in monitoring clinical response during the course of treatment.
Adhere to all safety precautions.
