Automotive Receptionist - Summary
Receives callers at the dealership, determines the nature of their business and directs callers to their destination. Answers basic inquiries, routes incoming calls, takes messages and provides basic information to all callers.
Automotive Receptionist - Essential Duties
- Answers incoming phone calls. Directs caller to appropriate department or individual or takes a thorough message.
- Communicates with callers and visitors in a professional, friendly and efficient manner.
- Communicates messages to the appropriate parties in a timely manner
- Receive payments from Service and Sales customers
- Receives, counts and pays out cash.
- Receipt in deposits from Sales Department
- Perform Filing of Service and Parts repair documents
- Assists with clerical duties and other tasks as requested by Managers
- Must have a friendly, outgoing demeanor and professional appearance.
- Excellent verbal skills
- Dependable with a desire to excel
- Assists service customers during the morning and evening service rush whenever possible.
- Basic computer skills are a must
- Some accounting experience preferred.
Automotive Receptionist - Language Skills
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients and other employees of the organization.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine correspondences. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Automotive Receptionist - Mathematical Skills
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts and applied tax.
