Job description
Qualis Corporation is seeking a Director of Contracts with experience supporting and administering DoD and NASA contracts. This position is located at our Huntsville, AL headquarters office.
Responsibilities
- Provide contract oversight and administration for all contract activities. This includes supervising a contracts/subcontracts administrator.
- Will prepare, negotiate, and administer all contracts, subcontracts, modifications, and related activities.
- Use strong analytical and contracting/pricing skills to handle full life cycle management of Government contracts, subcontracts, teaming agreements, NDAs, consulting agreements and other contractual agreements.
- Will ensure all contract terms comply with terms and conditions of the FAR, and applicable rules and regulations.
- Close out contracts to DCAA and DCMA standards.
- Will lead proposal activities to include supporting both the contracts volume and the pricing volume.
- Support or lead cost proposal preparation for submittal to the Government or to prime contractors.
- Assist in establishing and or maintaining policies and procedures.
- Support the DCMA approved purchasing process of the company.
- Serve as the primary interface with Government and Primes contracting officers and staff.
- Perform other duties as assigned, such as supporting the BD functions relating to contracts.
Requirements
Education and Experience Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field required.
- A Masters degree in Acquisition and Contracting is desired but not required
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in the contracting field that includes contract administration, contract pricing, negotiations, and contract close outs.
- Must be knowledgeable of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR/DFARS).
- Must be familiar with DCAA Audit procedures.
- Familiar with analyzing government RFPs and other solicitations.
- Must have strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with all Microsoft Office products is required.
- Experience with Deltek software is preferred. (e.g. CostPoint)
- Must be organized and have the skills to multi task and respond to requests with a sense of urgency
