Schedule: Full time (40 hours/week) Monday – Friday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work regularly scheduled shifts within our hours of operation (8:00am to 5:00pm PST). It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime, weekends, or holidays.

Job Description:
- Positions in this function perform various duties related to the fulfillment of prescription orders
- Dispense any or all the following: Unit doses, specialty pharmaceuticals, injectables, IV, enteral and related supplies following state and federal regulations and company policies and procedures. May compound medications using appropriate components, supplies and sterile/ventilated environment
- Process, pack, and ship outgoing pharmacy orders, ensuring drug, related supplies and patient collateral (education materials) are included
- May also perform drug/supply ordering and inventory/warehouse duties, including proper storage of drugs and supplies and appropriate refrigeration of perishable product, monitor and adjust/calibrate pharmacy equipment, fill dispensing units
- Clerks, Techs and Pharmacists in regional and local pharmacies may also perform the following as permitted by state regulation: Prep and scan documents, verify member/patient data, submit prescription orders in computer system
- Contact members/patients to validate data, resolve rejected claims, request payment information, establish priority of order or delivery details, consult on medication issues, and set up treatment in on-site facilities
- Interpret provider prescription and create order, access, input and retrieve prescription and medical/lab information from computer system, verifies whether order/drug is reimbursable/covered
Primary Responsibilities
- Enter prescriptions and verify appropriate information
- Contact patients, pharmacists and doctor’s offices to resolve claims issues
- Process prescriptions (from intake to order completion)
- Resolve customer issues while ensuring accurate information is provided
- Perform various prescription processing, sterile IV drug compounding, and warehouse duties such as shipping, receiving, ordering medications/supplies, unloading pallets, stocking, picking, and packing orders and general warehouse organization and cleaning in accordance with established procedures
- Perform Sterile Product Complex duties (e.g., Environmental monitoring/testing, cleaning/maintenance of SPC, etc.) in relation to meet standards for USP 797 and/or 800
- Required to pull and pack medications/supplies for deliveries
- Assist to double check supplies
- Perform/Execute Inventory Management &Procurement duties (e.g. Ordering/receiving, inventory counts, waste/recalls, expirations, and etc.)
- Perform Maintenance of Non-Hazardous Waste/Hazardous waste (if applicable) as it relates to pharmacy/sterile compounding related activities
- Participate in all inventory events including maintaining inventory logs/records and always ensuring accuracy of counts
- Prioritize and coordinate deliveries based upon delivery time and location
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with branch departments
- Identify potential issues that interfere with workflow; serve as resources for process improvements
- Manage miscellaneous tasks and projects to meet business needs

Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma / GED (or higher)
- Active and unrestricted Pharmacy Technician licensing and registration as required by state of California
- 2+ years of pharmacy related experience (includes retail pharmacy experience)
- Intermediate level of proficiency with computer and Windows PC applications (Outlook, etc.) including the ability to navigate and learn new and complex computer system applications
- Ability to lift 60 lbs.
- Ability to stand for an 8 hour shift
- Ability to use ladders as needed
- Ability to work 40 hours per week and overtime as required according to the needs of the business (8-hour shift between the hours of 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. PST M – F)
Preferred Qualifications:
- National Pharmacy Technician Certification
- 1+ years of sterile IV compounding experience, understanding of USP797 and/or 800 Standards
- Previous warehouse environment experience

California Residents Only: The hourly range for California residents is $16.00 to $31.44 .
