Job Summary:
The Disney Branded Television (DBT) Consumer Insights team sits within Disney Entertainment’s Research, Insights, and Measurement group and works in a consultative manner with Senior Executives as well as Content, Strategy, and Marketing Leaders to deliver content and brand insights that inspire creative development and inform kids and family content strategy. Our role is to elevate the voice of the consumer and provide a deep 360 understanding of their content needs.
The Analyst will be joining a best-in-class team that is forward-thinking, innovative, and engaged in helping understand the evolving entertainment landscape. Working across our kid and family focused brands including Disney Junior, Disney Channel, and Disney+ Originals, the role will be responsible for a variety of projects with a strong focus on content research.
The Analyst will report to the Senior Manager, Content & Brand Insights and support the broader DBT insights team across a range of projects including brand health tracking, creative testing, marketing testing, and broader content studies.
Responsibilities:
- Supporting the research process end-to-end from preparation to fieldwork to execution of both qualitative and quantitative research studies.
- Project management assistance across all aspects of qualitative research projects (including logistics and coordination, review of discussion guides, stimuli management, note taking) and quantitative research projects (including reviewing questionnaire, proofing links, data analysis and visualization)
- Support and manage ad-hoc requests by analyzing a variety of resources (across both primary and syndicated sources as needed) and then summarizing and communicating key insights
- Creation of impactful presentations and deliverables using relevant data visualization and an ability to edit/distill findings.
- Ensure quality and timeliness of projects and deliverables by managing and coordinating with internal teams and external research vendors
Basic Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience within research/consumer insights (relevant internship experience will be considered)
- Passionate about television content and an avid viewer across a variety of platforms
- Exceptional organization, time management, and project management skills
- Self-starter with passion, energy, and enthusiasm
- Confident presence – strong communication skills (verbal, written, listening)
- Dedication to delivering the highest quality work, unflagging attention to detail
- Collaborative, able to work across a variety of teams and establish strong relationships
- Skilled at data visualization and creating impactful presentations and deliverables
- Advanced writing skills and ability to synthesize information and tell stories with data
- Proficiency in Microsoft
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree within psychology, social sciences, communications, media, or related fields
The hiring range for this position in Burbank, CA is $68,300 to $93,800 per year based on a 40 hour work week. The amount of hours scheduled per week may vary based on business needs. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
