POSITION SUMMARY:
We are currently seeking a Senior Human Resources Generalist to work within our fast-paced, energetic environment. This position will be responsible for learning all departments within HR, which includes benefits, payroll, learning & development and recruiting. Additionally, the role will support the HR Manager in daily operations, introduce new initiatives, analyze HR metrics to formulate effective strategies, foster strong relationships with plant managers, supervisors, and union representatives, and provide backup support for various departments during absences. Ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations is also a key responsibility of this role.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Strategic HR Planning - Collaborate with senior management to align HR strategies with organizational goals and objectives.
Contribute to the development and execution of HR policies and procedures.
Recruitment and Talent Acquisition - Oversee the end-to-end recruitment process, including job postings, sourcing, interviewing, and hiring.
Develop effective talent acquisition strategies to attract and retain talent.
Collaborate with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and workforce planning.
Employee Relations - Handle employee relations matters, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and grievance procedures.
Promote a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
Conduct investigations into employee complaints and concerns.
Performance Management - Provide guidance to managers on performance feedback, goal setting, and development plans.
Identify opportunities for employee skill development and career advancement.
Training and Development - Support employee development initiatives.
Compensation and Benefits - Assist in Administering compensation and benefits programs, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.
Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in compensation and benefits.
HR Compliance - Stay informed about changes in labor laws, regulations, and HR best practices.
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal employment laws.
Employee Engagement - Develop and implement employee engagement initiatives.
Conduct surveys to assess employee satisfaction and morale.
Recommend and implement strategies to improve employee engagement.
HR Metrics and Reporting - Compile and analyze HR metrics to provide insights into workforce trends.
Prepare regular reports for senior management on HR key performance indicators.
HR Technology Management - Utilize HRIS (Human Resources Information System) to manage employee data and generate reports.
Evaluate and recommend improvements to HR systems and processes.
Other duties, as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business management or a similar industry.
Minimum of 6 years of progressive experience as a Sr. HR Generalist including experience in recruiting, employee relations, and benefits administration.
Experience within a union manufacturing environment preferred.
Previous experience with self-insured benefit plan administration, reporting and auditing.
A solid understanding of labor laws, HR policies, and compliance issues.

WORK SCHEDULE: This position is fully onsite and works between the hours of 7:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday. The schedule may fluctuate and can include, but is not limited to working evenings, weekends, and holidays. However, work may be performed at any time on any day of the week to meet business needs.
