Job description

The Hemp Store in Chapel Hill, NC is looking for one full-time hemp tender to join our strong team. We are located at 115 E Franklin St. Our ideal candidate is a self-starter, motivated, and hard-working.

Our focus is on education and destigmatization. We want to spread cannabis awareness and offer only the highest quality, lab-tested products.

To be a member of our team you must be friendly, compassionate, interested in the cannabis industry, and a fast learner. We expect our team members to be patient and listen to each and every guest we see in order to find the specific product that would be most beneficial to them.

You will spend the majority of your time here familiarizing yourself with the ins and outs of cannabis, hemp, CBD, THC, our products, our mission, etc. So if you are not prepared to study and learn, this will not be a good fit for you.

Responsibilities

• Learning about cannabis in every way, shape, and form.
• Educating guests on cannabis, hemp, their properties, and their benefits.
• Listening to guests about issues or ailments they have.
• Introducing guests to products that would best fit their needs.
• Running the cash register and POS system.
• Maintaining a clean and organized store at all times.
• Receiving and putting away orders.
• Processing delivery and pick-up orders through our website.

Qualifications

• MUST BE 21+
• Prior knowledge/work experience in cannabis preferred.
• 1 year or more in a customer service/sales position preferred.
• Experience with helping or educating people is preferred.
