Teen/Family Program Lead
Wage:
$12.00 Commensurate with experience
Hours:
20 hrs/week: Monday-Friday
*Schedule may vary and require weekend hours.
Description:
Seeking a passionate and motivated Youth Program Lead with a focus for 5th grade-high school students. This role involves developing, implementing, and overseeing a variety of engaging programs and as well as collaborating with other staff members to create a positive and inclusive environment that empowers young individuals to reach their full potential.
Responsibilities :
- Assist the teen and family director in creating and implementing after school and summer programs for youth of varying ages.
- Be a presence at scheduled events and build connections to further the teen and family department.
- Foster positive relationships with students by creating a welcoming and supportive environment.
- Act as a mentor and advocate, encouraging active participation and personal growth.
- Adhere to YMCA safety guidelines and ensure the well-being of all program participants.
Preferred experience:
- Experience working with youth from varying communities.
- Willing to help plan and implement new programs and activities.
- High school diploma/GED (required)
- Education and/or childcare background
