Job Summary:
Senior Helpers - Lee's Summit is seeking a Skilled Personal Care Aid to join our team of compassionate caregivers. As a Skilled Personal Care Aid, you will be responsible for providing personalized support and assistance utilizing a hoyer lift to transfer our senior clients. This is a full-time, hourly position in the healthcare/In-home health industry, located in Lees Summit, Missouri.
Compensation and Benefits:
This position offers an hourly wage of $18, paid bi-weekly.
Responsibilities:
- Provide personal care services to senior clients according to their individual care plans, including assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, medication reminders, and toileting
- Provide transportation and accompany clients to appointments and social outings
- Assist with light housekeeping tasks, meal preparation, and grocery shopping
- Monitor and report any changes in client's health or well-being to the appropriate medical professionals
- Build and maintain positive relationships with clients and their families
- Document all services provided and any changes in client's condition accurately and timely
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations
- Continuously seek ways to improve and enhance the overall well-being of our senior clients
Requirements:
- Must have hoyer lift experience
- Available 7 pm - 10 pm (7 days a week)
- Must have reliable transportation and willing to except an evening shift in Lee's Summit, MO
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Previous experience in caregiving or healthcare preferred
- Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Must be able to pass a background check
- Demonstrated ability to provide compassionate and personalized care to seniors
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Physical ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
