About the Role
Safety is paramount in everything we do. This role is part of the Facilities team, which is an integral part of our Technical Services Department. As a member of the Facilities team, you will play a major role in the success of our resort and have one of the most important responsibilities throughout the park. You must always provide and guarantee a fun and safe environment for our guest with a focus on safety, ensuring that our buildings are inspected, maintained, and repaired to the highest levels possible.
Role Description
- Keep Safety as #1 priority.
- Safe maintenance and technical operation of all buildings and infrastructure.
- Ensure strict compliance with all relevant health & safety legislation/requirements, maintaining detailed and comprehensive records.
- Maintenance of exceptional safety standards for both guests and staff.
- Responsible for carrying out planned maintenance work, this includes daily inspections, periodic inspections as per internal schedules, building inspections, installation work around the site.
- Respond to breakdown situations and carry out the required corrective action, such as building works, plumbing and the like.
- Diagnose and replace damaged or broken wire, cables, malfunctioning and faulty electrical apparatus such as: transformers, motors, panels, relays, switches, outlets, position sensing devices, etc.
- Maintain appropriate certificates and training required to conduct their assigned levels of inspections and repairs.
- Responsible for the keeping of buildings records.
- Carry out risk assessments for the Facilities department, reviewing and updating codes of practice and work instructions.
- Responsible for the utilities (heat/gas/water/electric).
About You
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- 3- 5 years of experience in general contracting, building maintenance or engineering with a focus in electrical.
- 1-3 years of managerial experience.
- Ability to supervise the installation, repair, and maintenance of specialized electrical equipment and control devices.
- Background in HVAC-R, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, utilities.
- Good knowledge of commercial kitchen equipment.
- Ability to read technical diagrams, blueprints and follows schematic circuit drawings.
- Good knowledge of heating and air conditioning systems.
- Must have integrity and high standards around compliance and safety.
- Must be able to manage a budget and assets including labor, material, and services.
- Should be able to manage projects and multiple tasks all at the same time.
- Must be able to communicate internally and externally with a variety of different types of individuals within and outside of the organization.
