About the role: The Facilities Technician will be responsible for overseeing the general maintenance and upkeep of Wholesome Co facilities. WholesomeCo operates high-tech cultivation facilities with a wide array of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems that need to be kept running at all times. This position, with guidance from the Sr. Facilities Manager,  will be responsible for helping to ensure  the continuous and seamless operation of these systems. In addition, this position will help with coordination on any ongoing/future construction or expansion projects as well as the contractors doing work. The Maintenance Manager will be required to work in a wide variety of work environments, which may include inclement weather and uncomfortable working conditions, e.g., on roofs, in tight spaces, etc. In addition, this job will involve working in indoor horticultural areas where there can be high temperature and humidity. While in these areas, the employee will be required to wear PPE for biosecurity purposes.

Job Responsibilities:

• Interfaces with appropriate staff/managers to receive information regarding facilities’ needs; ensures timely response to requests
• Performs minor and routine repairs including but not limited to painting, plumbing, electrical wiring, and other related maintenance activities
• Supervise and coordinate with service contractors to perform needed service across facilities
• Responsible as a first responder to coordinate the activities following a casualty event such as flood, storms, fires, and other major events. 
• Oversee equipment stocking, including consumables and spare parts. 
• Change rooftop unit filters, calibrate PH meters, General irrigation maintenance (plumbing) and basic cultivation maintenance
• Conducting regular inspections of facilities to detect and repair problems
• Closely monitor and manage operation of HVAC systems to ensure their continuous operation, and be available to answer alarms after hours if needed
• Ability to pivot and/or handle multiple responsibilities at once
• Other job duties as requested.

  Skills/Requirements:

• Proficient in the use of electrical test equipment includes but not limited to; Multi-meters, Amp Meters, and Meggers
• 3-5+ years management experience, ideally in HVAC, construction, facility maintenance, or
• Well versed in maintenance safety protocols
• Skilled in the safe use of hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
• Able to work as needed on nights, holidays, and weekends. If needed in emergency situations.
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure
• Ability to pivot and/or handle multiple responsibilities at once
• Must be able to work seated/standing as appropriate at workstations for extended periods of time, maintain body equilibrium while climbing ladders, stairways, stopping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching, and use hands/fingers to hold, grasp, turn, pick, pinch frequently/constantly to complete tasks
• Must be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 50 pounds to a minimum height of 5 feet and be able to push, pull, move, and/or carry such weight a minimum distance of 50 feet, with or without mechanical assistance
• Must have reliable transportation
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Must pass any background checks required by the state or by WholesomeCo.
• High School Diploma is required
