Job description
OVERVIEW
The Broadband Project Coordinator is accountable for overseeing the implementation, improvement, and construction of cable and fiber programs, as well as ensuring the overall success of Sun's broadband programs. They collaborate with MSP partners to establish and maintain project schedules and facilitate communication between the Sun team and vendor partners. Furthermore, the Broadband Project Coordinator conducts periodic audits of invoices to confirm that partners and vendors are adhering to contract terms.
JOB DUTIES
- Oversee the management of fiber and cable programs, which includes installations, contracts.
- Manage relationships with all MSP partners and vendors by holding recurring meetings, documenting notes and action plans, and following up on action plans and items.
- Consistently research and stay up to date with the industry-leading MSPs and new service offerings that may benefit Sun properties.
- Manage physical and systematic fiber and cable implementations at existing properties and ground-up locations.
- Manage all contract expirations, renegotiations, and renewals with cable and fiber vendors and providers.
- Ensure all contract databases are tracked for expirations and are kept organized and updated.
- Collaborate with Low Voltage team members to recognize circuit consolidations and complimentary hotspot locations to identify expense savings opportunities across the portfolio.
- Identify properties that could benefit from telecom infrastructure improvements.
- Collaborate with Regional and Divisional Vice Presidents and MSP vendors to negotiate contracts for improvements and lead the execution of them.
- Collaborate with community management on the installation of cable and fiber programs.
- Manage, address, and close out all Zendesk tickets relating to cable and fiber systems and programs.
- Work collaboratively with leadership to gather all necessary information (site directory, lender consent, etc.) so cable contracts can be properly prepared for the COO's signature
- Work with leadership to establish SLAs and set standards for vendor partners to uphold.
- Other duties as needed.
REQUIREMENTS
- High School Diploma or GED (Required)
- Bachelor's Degree in Business (Preferred)
- 1 year Project Management
- 1 year Contract Negotiation
- 1 year Vendor Management
- 6 months Construction Project Management
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Advanced computer proficiency with the ability to use the Microsoft Office Suite, email, internet
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
- Knowledge of cable and fiber industries, offerings and major players (preferred)
- Proven analytical skills
