Koff & Associates (now a Gallagher Company) is adding an Associate Compensation Consultant to our team. This external, client – facing role will play an important role in Compensation Consulting Services including Classification and Job Analysis and Compensation Studies. Position Summary:
- Applies knowledge of HR subject matter to perform analytical and consultative work in classification, compensation, and a variety of HR competency areas.
- Informs project manager of issues, anticipates project needs and contributes to the overall quality of project deliverables; learns to convey recommendations with confidence and in a defensible manner.
- Conducts research and statistical analyses; gathers complete and accurate information through questioning and by checking multiple sources; seeks the perspectives of knowledgeable persons and those involved in an area of subject matter expertise.
- Assists with compiling, organizing, analyzing, and interpreting data for projects and reports; utilizes findings to formulate defensible recommendations related to assigned tasks conveying a command of the relevant facts and information.
- Prepares high quality deliverables such as class descriptions and data spreadsheets
- Learns to make systematic comparisons of two or more alternatives; notices discrepancies and inconsistencies in available information. Ensures work products/client deliverables are well-organized, thorough, accurate, complete
- Plans, organizes, and prioritizes own workload; coordinates project activities with others.
- Communicates with internal and external clients to provide information, project status, or other routine information requiring some interpretation, as assigned.
- Learns about project lifecycle including project scope, project timetables, project budgets and timeline; learns to work with in assigned project parameters.
- Performs related duties as required
About youRequired: Bachelor's degree and 3 years related experience required.
Preferred:
- Live in pacific, mountain or central time zone
- Knowledge of Principles and practices of human resources with a concentration in classification and compensation. Principles, practices, and techniques of human resources consulting. Professional guidelines, standards, and principles applicable to assigned projects. Research methodology and statistical methods, analyses, and concepts.
- Applicable federal, state, and local laws, codes, and regulations as well as industry standards and best practices pertinent to the assigned area of responsibility
- Education equivalent to a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Three (3) years of professional level analytical and/or consultative experience in support of human resources functions, with a concentration in classification and/or compensation.
- Some positions may require possession of a valid California Driver’s License, a satisfactory driving record, and a properly registered and insured vehicle, to be maintained throughout employment.
- Must possess mobility to work in a standard office setting and use standard office equipment, including a computer; to operate a motor vehicle and visit various client sites; vision to read printed materials and a computer screen; and hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone. This is primarily a sedentary office classification although standing in work areas and walking between work areas may be required. Finger dexterity is needed to access, enter, and retrieve data using a computer keyboard or calculator and to operate standard office equipment. Positions in this classification occasionally bend, stoop, kneel, reach, push, and pull drawers open and closed to retrieve and file information.
