Position: Medical Intensive Care NurseĀ

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Medical Intensive Care Nurse (MICU RN) to join our healthcare team. The MICU RN will be responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients in the Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU). This role requires strong clinical skills, critical thinking abilities, and a compassionate approach to patient care.

Responsibilities:

  1. Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for critically ill patients admitted to the Medical Intensive Care Unit.
  2. Monitor and assess patients' conditions, including vital signs, lab values, and clinical indicators.
  3. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians and monitor their effects on patients.
  4. Perform advanced nursing procedures and interventions, including airway management, hemodynamic monitoring, and ventilator management.
  5. Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to develop and implement comprehensive care plans.
  6. Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families regarding their conditions, treatments, and care plans.
  7. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the electronic medical record.
  8. Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and standards of care to ensure patient safety and quality outcomes.
  9. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and professional development activities to enhance nursing practice and patient care.

Qualifications:

  1. Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of [Insert State].
  2. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree preferred.
