As a Senior Accountant your typical day may involve:
- Executing assigned monthly, quarterly, and annual general ledger closing processes
- Assisting in the development and organization of financial statements, reports, and budget preparation, timely and accurately
- Reviewing and analyzing variances to budget/forecast and to previous reporting periods on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis
- Preparing monthly account reconciliations and journal entries
- Balancing and maintaining subsidiary accounts by allocating, posting, verifying, and reconciling accounts receivable and payable
- Assist with operational audits to assess compliance with financial policies and procedures.
- Play an important part in the organization's financial management which involves all record reconciliations and reporting to essential parties
- Working closely with other functional areas and business management to resolve issues and support the achievement of business goals
Requirements: - 2+ years' of experience as a Senior Accountant required.
- BS degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
Certifications (such as CMA or CPA) and public accounting experience (Big 4) will be a bonus. - Good understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), financial accounting statements, and business trends.
- Adequate experience with accounting software packages and MS Office; Excel, Word, Access, etc.
