Job description
SUMMARY
Seeking a Quality Manager for a global manufacturing company in Johnson City, TN. The Quality Manager will coordinate internal audits and monitor the compliance to and effectiveness of the Quality Management System (QMS) and lead efforts on a battery separator expansion project.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead Li-ion battery separator expansion project to obtain IATF certification.
- Ensure company third party accreditations are maintained (ISO 9001, IATF16949)
- Conduct internal audits and lead customer quality audits.
- Manage internal QMS audits and layered process audits.
- Establish and support the development of the quality management system processes QMS.
- Formally report Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to senior management
- Promote customer requirements and quality awareness throughout the organization.
REQUIREMENTS
- BS degree in appropriate field required.
- Five years + IATF 16949 Quality Management Systems experience.
- Project Management experience is ideal in the battery industry.
- Experience with IATF certification (Automotive, etc.) Auditor Certification preferred.
- Strong interpersonal, communication and customer service skills.
- Skilled in working across multiple disciplines including Sales, R&D and Operations.
- Excellent written, listening, and verbal communication skills.
- Able to work with minimal supervision.
- Ability to prioritize, manage time well, multitask and troubleshoot.
