Job description

APEX Recovery LLC, an innovative and integrative treatment center just opened in Columbia, TN has an exciting career opportunity for individuals with culinary talent for our kitchen staff. This Individual will work directly under the Chef.

The Chef will work closely with you on developing menus for the 3 daily meals and also will be checking your punctuality, attention to detail, cleanliness, safety practices, and overall how you maintain the necessary standards for our kitchens.

Job Specifics:

Job Type: Full-time, Part-time, and PRN

Work Schedule: 8 to 30 hrs. per week

Salary rate: Between $16.00 to $20.00 per hour (depending on experience)

Job Duties:

• Assist in eriting, preparing and executing lunch and dinner menus.
• Meal prep and planning
• Prepare all meals as assigned
• Understanding of mise en place.
• Keeping a respectful and positive attitude with the clients and staff.
• Keeping the work stations clean and tidy at all times.
• Ability to maintain consistent communication with Head Chef on inventory needs, clients requests, etc.
• Ability to substitute items based on dietary needs of clients as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 6-12 months of professional culinary experience, preferably in a healthcare setting.
• Current Food Handlers or ServSafe certified, preferred.
• Extensive organizational skills.
• Excellent time management.
• Reliable transportation.

APEX Recovery LLC offers full-time employees (after 60 day of continuous employment) health, dental and vision insurance benefits and allows full-time employees to accrue leave rates for vacation, sick and personal time-off upon hire, and may be used after completion of the employee's introductory period.
