Job Duties and Responsibilities

DISH Wireless is in search of a Product Engineer to bolster our Wireless Systems and Tools department. We are looking for someone who can assist a diverse team of Product Owners, QA Engineers, System Administrators, and Integration Service Engineering professionals. Together, this team collaborates with various stakeholders, customers, and executive sponsors to conceptualize, develop, test, and implement the systems and tools essential for our 5G Network deployment.

In this position, you will play a crucial role in the end-to-end development of software features and configurations. This includes contributing to the conception, defining requirements, conducting testing, troubleshooting, generating reports, and analyzing outcomes. Your collaboration with the wireless systems & tools team will be instrumental in achieving these objectives.

• Product: Collaborate with product owners, system admin, stakeholders, and vendors to d raft workflows and business requirements documents.   
• QA: Assist in creating, automating, testing, and troubleshooting newly developed features in a web and mobile environment until the features are fit for acceptance into the production environment
• System Administrators: With the knowledge acquired from supporting product & QA – provide support to system administrators in troubleshooting issues submitted by software users. Aid in configuration requirements whenever possible.
• Integration Services: Provide support in database administration and reporting

Skills, Experience and Requirements

As a successful Product Engineer II, you will have: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent work experience
• Minimum 3 years of product experience in Agile software development environments
• Deep understanding of software development and test development life cycles
• Experience collaborating with Product, QA, System Administrators, Data Engineers, and Vendors
• Strong skills in business requirements and technical writing
• Demonstrated project management abilities with a track record of meeting deadlines
• Proficiency in software testing, including test automation
• Advanced proficiency in SQL and database management, with Python skills considered a bonus

Salary Ranges

Compensation: $83,160.00/Year - $126,625.00/Year

The base pay range shown is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location. Candidates need to successfully complete a pre-employment screen, which may include a drug test and DMV check.
