Job description
Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CMM Programmer to join our team at our facility located in Pittsburgh, PA, 15201. As a CMM Programmer, you will be responsible for programming and operating Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) to ensure accurate and precise measurements of our products. You will work with the Hexagon machine brand and utilize your expertise in GD&T to ensure quality control standards are met.
Responsibilities
- Program and operate Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) to measure and inspect products
- Create and modify CMM programs using Hexagon machine brand software in PC-DMIS
- Perform dimensional inspections using GD&T principles to ensure product quality
- Analyze measurement data and generate reports for internal and external stakeholders
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to identify and resolve any measurement-related issues
- Maintain and calibrate CMM equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability
- Stay updated with industry advancements and new CMM technologies
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a CMM Programmer or similar role
- Expert in programming and operating Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM)
- Strong knowledge of GD&T principles and their application in dimensional inspections
- Experience with Hexagon machine brand and PC-DMIS
- Attention to detail and ability to interpret complex engineering drawings
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Good communication and teamwork abilities
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- High level of accuracy and precision in measurements
