Senior Engineering Technician
Monday-Friday 1st Shift (flexible schedule)
Pay: $25-$35 hourly
Senior Engineering Technicians build and install automated test, measurement, and control systems.
Responsibilities: - Assist engineers with system design and documentation of custom test and measurement systems.
- Select, procure, and integrate hardware such as computers, instrumentation, sensors, and racks.
- Sustaining support for installed systems.
- Maintain lab and integration processes, tools, and work areas.
- Work autonomously or in a team environment.
- Interface directly with customers and end-users for training and troubleshooting.
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma – the ideal candidate will also have a 2 or 4-year technical degree.
- 5+ years of experience building and maintaining electronic or electro-mechanical systems.
- Good understanding of both electric/electronic systems and mechanical systems including PCBAs, instrumentation, sensors, rack systems, cabling, fixtures, ITAs, Virginia Panel, and PC hardware.
- Ability to read and understand mechanical assembly drawings, electrical schematics, and BOM.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills – both verbal and written.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and an innovative and resourceful mindset.
- Eligibility for ITAR and defense contract work.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lb for mechanical assembly processes.
During the interview process, technical and interpersonal skills will be tested and a background check will be performed. In general, work will be performed in the DFW area. However, occasional travel may be required.
Salary is commensurate with experience level.
