Job Title: Electrical Technician

Location: Columbia (Southeast)

Salary: $30ph – $40ph

Shift Pattern 2nd shift (4pm – 2:30am)

Industry: Heavy Engineering/Metals Company

We are working with a well-known engineering firm based outside of Columbia, SC. Manufacturer of steel products to a range of industries include Water, Pipework and Gas. They are looking to recruit an experienced Electrical Maintenance Technician working on 2nd shift (Mon-Fri), 4pm – 2:30am, the successful applicant will benefit from a salary ranging from $30 - $40 per hour dependant on experience

Duties and responsibilities as an Electrical Technician :

• Install, repair and maintain and set up industrial machinery
• Connecting power supply wires to machines and equipment
• Replaces faulty electrical components of machines such as relays, switches, motors, position sensing devices, bearing, and wiring.
• Troubleshoot and correct equipment malfunctions
• Disassemble and reassemble valves, electric motors up to 480V and pneumatic systems
• Perform preventative maintenance by lubricating and cleaning parts
• Experience with servo loaders, sensors, drives and motors

Skills and experience required as an Electrical Technician:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Welding knowledge preferred
• Minimum 3 years experience as an Electrical Maintenance Technician
• Knowledge of electronics and electro-hydraulics
• Electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic maintenance
