Job Description Summary
The Process Specialist is responsible for the creation, programming, setting up, running and troubleshooting multi axis CNC machining centers, Speed drill EDM’s, Wire machines, and Sinker EDM machines.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS / RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Able to successfully operate all production equipment used at GE Muskegon - NC programming, setting up, running and troubleshooting multi axis CNC machining centers, Speed drill EDM’s, Wire machines, and Sinker EDM machines.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, follow routers, use simple math to perform calculations, and use precision measuring tools.
- Work concurrently with Engineering and Operations supporting year over year continuous improvement. impacting safety, quality, customer delivery and cost.
- Solid understanding of process capability and SPC.
- Assist other team members, oversee, and teach others, as needed.
- Self-direct and prioritize projects based on business needs.
- Work and perform duties in a timely manner with little to no supervision.
QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience with NC programs, setup, running and troubleshooting multi axis CNC and manual machining equipment including, but not limited to, adjusting speeds and feeds, fixtures, tooling, programming, etc. to produce parts to tolerance and specification.
- Able to perform setup on a minimum of two process types, (e.g., grinds, speed drill, conv. EDM, etc.)
- Must possess data driven problem-solving abilities, utilizing analytical tools (e.g. SPC, 5Y, Digital tools)
- Demonstrated ability to work with a cross functional team.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in the following: Outlook, Excel, Word
This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. If applicable, final offers will be contingent on ability to obtain authorization for access to U.S. export-controlled information from the U.S. Government.
