Job description

The Electrical Superintendent position is responsible for the scheduling, coordinating, and supervising of all onsite electrical crew members along with the project manager assigned to that specific project. This position will report to the General Superintendent. Responsibilities:

• Plan, assign, and coordinate project work with various electrical crew members to ensure continuous project workflow
• Determine method of construction, labor needs, material quantities, equipment needs, temporary power sources, and work schedule
• Monitor work performance and productivity of crew members as assigned to ensure project rules, procedures, and safety requirements are maintained
• Advise senior level superintendent or project manager of potential problems and assist in resolution
• Maintain communication with project staff, engineering, and supply chain management to ensure work complies with drawings, specifications, and schedule
• Assist in the reporting of the job’s progress to the Project Manager; maintain communication with other departments as required
• Coordinate with Supply Chain Management to issue purchase orders for all commodities, equipment, and subcontractors
• Maintain accountabilities for all electrical project functions including planning resources, scheduling coordination with the General Contractor, safety policy enforcement, and timesheet accountability
• Ensure all project work is completed in accordance with specifications, schedule, and safety

Qualifications:

• State of Texas Journeyman license required
• Possess a valid state-issued driver’s license
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen
• Acceptable motor vehicle record
• 5 years of commercial electrical experience required
• Previous supervisory experience required
• Knowledge of National Electrical Code and calculations required
• Microsoft Office experience preferred
• Bluebeam experience preferred
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
• Possess excellent computer skills utilizing MS Office products
• Strong strategic, analytical, and organizational skills
• Acts with honesty and integrity
• Ability to interact professionally and effectively with senior management
• Ability to maintain good relationships with internal and external customers, use tact and diplomacy and possess a customer service focus
• Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
• Manage multiple priorities with efficiency and accuracy
• Demonstrate attention to detail
• Proficient in manpower time management

Physical Activities and Requirements for this Position:

• Must be able to speak and listen clearly
• Fine visual acuity to read for accuracy
• May be exposed to loud noises, wet and humid conditions, fumes, or airborne particles, and extreme hot and cold depending on weather conditions
• May be required to work in high, precarious places
• This job may require lifting up to 50 pounds
