City of Kenmore Job Posting for an Accountant – Finance Department

Summary

Under the direction of the Finance and Administration Director, the Accountant will develop, prepare, and maintain a complete set of financial records. They will oversee and participate in processing complex accounting transactions, preparing adjustments to sub-ledgers and ledgers, overseeing and performing reconciliation, and reporting and auditing general ledger financial information. Preparing accurate and timely financial and statistical reporting from City-wide and project-based accounting systems and assisting in other functions of the department, including, but not limited to information technology are also part of the responsibilities.  Because of the small number of City employees, each staff member is expected to perform a wide range of office and field duties as may be required from time to time.
