Overview

• Maintains overall dental care
• Manages of dental services provided to each patient
• Performs all dental assessments, radiographic exams, and dental treatment, to include emergency treatment such as oral surgery, restorative dentistry and periodontal therapy within the scope of general dentistry
• Formulates a working diagnosis
• Develops and implements treatment plans and evaluates/modifies therapeutic regimens to promote positive patient outcomes
• Evaluates all patients returning from offsite dental visits
• Participates in trainings and orientation of healthcare staff
• Provides oral hygiene education and discharge instructions to all patients seen
• Supervises and coaches Dental Assistants
• Ensures sterilization and disinfection of equipment
• Performs other job-related duties as needed
