Job description
B-P Supply, Inc., a reputable third-generation family-owned business, is on the lookout for a committed and dependable Rod Pump Technician. In this role, you will have the opportunity to leverage your mechanical and technical skills to repair and construct rod pumps, playing a crucial role in meeting our company and customer specifications.
Responsibilities
- Assemble and test cleaned pump and tubing anchor parts using various tools and equipment.
- Inspect components such as barrel, plunger, valve cages, balls, seats for accuracy.
- Operate testing equipment including ball and seat tester, vacuum tester, air micrometer.
- Evaluate the condition of all parts to determine their reusability.
- Assist in warehouse operations as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including machines, tools, and equipment.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the management.
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license
- Minimum of 3 years of experience with a strong mechanical aptitude
- Prior experience as a TAC or rod pump technician is preferred
- Proficiency in a variety of mechanical and inventory skills for equipment and parts
- Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail
- Basic math skills, including understanding of fractions and measurements
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds
- Consistent and dependable attendance record
