Psychiatrist at the Lynn Community Health Center.
Specialty Departments include: Complex Addictions, Pediatrics, and Adult Medicine.
In this role you will: - Provide comprehensive bio-psycho-social diagnostic assessment at intake and at any point needed throughout treatment.
- participate in ongoing quality improvement efforts.
- Follow clinical guidelines with respect to prescribing practices.
- Prepare/review health-related policies and documentation or participating in health screenings, health education programs or counseling at health fairs and other similar community events.
- Consult and evaluate patients regarding crisis situations and admission to a psychiatric mental health and/or substance abuse inpatient unit.
The successful applicant will offer: - Doctor of Medicine or a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine.
- Board eligible with certification highly preferred and licensed to practice in Massachusetts.
- Experience in the evaluation and treatment on psychiatric illnesses.
- Previous experience in diagnosing, evaluating, and treating patients with psychiatric disorders.
- Experience in treating psychiatric illness with medication in addition to being comfortable with psychotherapeutic modalities.
- Demonstration to sensitivity working with underserved multicultural populations in a community setting.
