Job description
A Boutique established law firm in Coral Gables seeks an experienced senior attorney to help our clients achieve favorable outcomes with legal matters. You will advocate for clients, handle intake and retention, review contracts, review and prepare complaints, advise them on the best course of action, and implement their legal support plan. Candidate must have prior trial experience, experience meeting with clients, handling court hearings, drafting motions, drafting objections, analyzing cases, legal research, be able to manage a heavy caseload and use your general counsel experience and interpersonal skills to manage files on your own to ensure a continued legacy of prosperity.

Responsibilities:
- Complete legal research and prepare motions, pleadings, and briefs
- Keep apprised of changes to local, state, and federal statutes and laws
- Prepare legal documents, such as pleadings, motions, notices, and discovery requests/responses
- Attend court hearings on behalf of clients and argue motions
- Provide guidance and advice to associate attorneys and paralegals to resolve or prevent conflicts
Qualifications:
- Exceptional time management and interpersonal skills are desired, as are exceptional writing and verbal communication skills
- Previous experience advocating for clients in trials, mediation, and arbitration
- Bachelor’s degree with a law degree from an accredited law school (such as an LLM, JSD, or J.D. degree)
- Work independently while handling a heavy caseload
- Member of state and local bar associations in good standing
- 5 years of required experience as a senior associate in the legal field
- Must be fully bilingual in English and Spanish both written and verbal
- Must have own roster of clients to bring to the firm
