Under limited supervision of the DOC Records Operations Supervisor, as it pertains to the preservation of, access to and distribution of department data, it is the daily responsibility of this position to identify and prioritize unit and agency requirements; develop existing protocols, systems and policies; research and recommend new work methods, equipment and service needs; organize office space; provide cost benefit analysis; train, assign and direct the work of subordinate unit and contract staff in a variety of complex administrative and technical duties; monitor unit budget activity; provide technical support to agency staff; execute special assignments.
Minimum Qualifications - Two (2) years of technical/administrative experience working in public records and electronic document management systems
- Proficiency with operating systems, document management systems, and Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Adobe Reader, and Ecopy.
- Data entry skills sufficient to create database records and update entries in a timely manner.
- Typing/keyboarding skills sufficient to complete a variety of documents and letters.
- Written communication skills within proficiency in business English, spelling, grammar, and composition.
Preferred Qualifications - Knowledge of COMS, SharePoint Resources, BCA Portals, Statewide Supervision system, ODocS/OnBase, or Odyssey Assistant.
- Demonstrated organizational, and problem-solving skills and the ability to handle multiple and competing priorities in an effective manner.
- Intermediate level or higher experience with MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Outlook and other Microsoft office suite applications, and Adobe Acrobat.

Additional Requirements The selection process may include screening the top candidate(s) on their criminal history, predatory offender registration, offender associations and/or other applicable background information in accordance with Department of Corrections’ policy. Top candidate(s) must pass a criminal history check which includes successful completion of all sentencing and/or restitution requirements of law enforcement jurisdictions, including probation. Employment history/reference checks, including incidents of sexual harassment, will also be conducted on the top candidate(s) in accordance with Department of Corrections’ policy. This may include a review of job performance and discipline records. New employees will be fingerprinted within the first 30 days of employment.
