Position Summary:

Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Financial Analyst for NJMS - Dean's Office. This role prepares restricted budget based on organization's performance, estimated revenue, expense reports and past budget amounts.

Among the key duties of this position are the following:

• Assists in coordinating the monthly financial report for New Jersey Medical School; the report provides a continual status update of key components of the New Jersey Medical School's financial activity.
• Responsible for the periodic review, analysis, maintenance and management of the New Jersey Medical School restricted budgets/activity.
• Conducts special duties to analyze complex financial actions and prepares recommendations for policy, procedure, control or action within the New Jersey Medical School.
• Responsible for the development of grant awards and expenses analysis that support periodic reporting and decision making processes within New Jersey Medical School.
• Responsible for developing reports and analysis as it relates to the management of the New Jersey Medical School's grant overhead activity.
• Responsible for the Extramural Support Incentive Award Program ( ESIAP ) encumbrance process.
• Reviews opening restricted and unrestricted budgets periodically to analyze trends affecting budget needs.

Minimum Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field plus three (3) year experience in responsible phases of accounting.
• Equivalent education, professional accounting experience, and/or training may be substituted for the degree requirements.
