Project Engineer
Eagan, MN | Contract to Hire | $35 - $40/hr
Konik is partnering with a local engineering firm that is seeking to add a Project Engineer to their team. In this role, you will serve as the primary technical engineer on a variety of projects. You will work with a cross-functional engineering team to plan, monitor, and execute on projects from an engineering perspective from initial discovery with clients through production. If you are a junior engineer with an interest in both technical project leadership and working on the business side of an engineering organization, this is an excellent opportunity to do so in a rapidly growing organization.
Project Engineer Responsibilities:
- Partner with various leaders at the company on engineering projects to ensure effective execution, delivery, development, resourcing planning, and quality performance objectives.
- Stay in consistent contact with leadership team, functional leaders, project team members, and customers throughout the project.
- Own the development strategy of assigned projects, as well as risk management plans.
- Maintain engineering planning, forecasting, reporting, issue resolution, baseline changes, transition to production, production support, and delivery for assigned projects.
- Work with department leaders to provide input on objectives and performance of project personnel.
Project Engineer Requirements:
- Bachelors in a relevant Engineering discipline (i.e., Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, Systems, or similar).
- 1+ year of engineering experience, ideally in a product development or project leadership role.
- Must have displayed leadership capabilities and experience, ideally in a professional setting.
- Driven, self-starter that naturally takes ownership of assigned tasks and projects.
