Accountant - Construction

Job description
Position Overview: The Accountant will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day accounting functions, preparing financial reports, and analyzing financial data. The Accountant will also be responsible for performing audits, reconciling bank statements, and assisting with construction accounting and project management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform full cycle accounting including processing invoices, requisitions, purchase orders, and other transactions
- Manage accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations
- Prepare financial reports, such as balance sheets, income statements, and other documents as requested
- Analyze financial data and identify areas of improvement
- Assist with construction accounting and project management
- Perform audits of financial records
- Maintain accurate records and filing systems
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
- At least 5 years of accounting experience
- Familiarity with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and accounting software programs
- Knowledge of construction accounting and project management is a plus
