Job description
Kforce has a client in Saint Charles, MO that is seeking an Equipment Mananger for a 6-12 month contract to hire role.
Summary:
The Equipment Manager is responsible for railcar equipment management activities including order management, communication, and coordination of new and existing railcar deliveries. They must participate in assignment meetings with internal and external customers and prepare order summary and return reports of railcars. This position will work cross functionally with Sales, Portfolio Management, Operations, Customer Service and Engineering.
Order Fulfillment:
- Responsible for new and existing railcar deliveries, assignments, and returns
- Create all necessary tracking information, coordinate with storage facilities to trigger car movement, assign reporting marks in system, and communicate status and information to the sales team
- Coordinate asset disposition, bill cars with railroads, routing and freight with sales and the customer
New Capex:
- May participate in meetings for new car deliveries with sales, operations, engineering, and customer service
- Responsible for placing new cars on rent once they have reached destination
Reassignments:
- Actively implement asset reassignment process including taking cars off/on rent and coordinating between sales, fleet operations and repair shops to ensure cars are on schedule and delivered on-time
Returns:
- Manage customer returns including coordinating the selection of storage locations, obtaining freight estimates, or reassignment
- When cars are ready, provide disposition, enter arrival dates, and take cars off rent
- Creating and maintaining Release Sheets
