To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- Shall support the development, implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the Global Food Safety Initiative system at Oregon Spice Company.
- Responsible for understanding and following, GMP, SOP, and SSOP.
- Accurately and legibly record information on company documents.
- Read and follow instructions on work orders. Verify and record correct materials (Spice blend, bottles, labels, caps, etc)
- Identify correct spice to fill order.
- Log lot number of products.
- Fill container by weight using a scale.
- Package and label according to work order.
- Prepare packages for shipping.
- Set up and change over equipment on the Pack Line to include filler, auger system, check-weigher, metal detector, capper, labeler, sealer and associated conveyors.
- Monitor, document and adhere to CCP checks and standards multiple times per hour.
- Communicate material needs to the material handler (F.L. driver) to restock the production line.
- Clean work area.
- Clean equipment.
- Clean warehouse.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:
- Basic English reading, writing, speaking and math skills.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
- At least one year of experience operating machinery in a food packing or light industrial environment handling/packing product.
- Experience and accountability for filling out regulatory paperwork.
