Job description
Our client is currently seeking a Project Manager for a 3 year assignment located in Charlotte, NC.
The candidate will oversee a range of Transmission projects throughout their lifecycle, including engineering, procurement, and construction phases. They will be accountable for maintaining project scope, schedule, and cost. While leading project teams, the candidate will not have direct supervisory responsibilities.
The Project Manager I may engage with individuals across various organizations, ranging from individual contributors to Senior Department Leadership, including executive management.
Required Qualifications:
- A minimum of 2 years of project management experience.
- Completion of a two-year college or university program.
- Ability to traverse rough and uneven terrain during site visits.
- Working knowledge of project management principles.
- Proficiency in Project Management, Decision Making, Critical Thinking, Problem Solving, project-related work experience, Risk Management, Project Leadership, and proven collaborative teamwork.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Graduation from a four-year college or university.
- Utility Technical Certifications/Training; PMI (PMP or CAPM) Certification; CMII certificates; Professional Engineer License.
- Proficiency in project-related Scheduling/Cost Controls.
- Experience in the utility industry.
- Knowledge of construction management.
