Job description
Job Title: Clinical Manager
Job Summary : Responsible for managing the day-to-day clinical operations for Confident Young Minds (CYM) by handling both medical and administrative tasks, including creating schedules for other employees, and hiring and training new team members.
Requirements: - Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in healthcare administration, health services administration, or similar
- Two (2) years of healthcare operations supervisory/management experience or three (3) years of progressive relevant leadership experience. An equivalent and relevant combination of Master’s level education, fellowship, or experience may be considered in lieu of total experience
- Experience in Mental Health preferred
- Proficient in administrative tasks, such as updating patients records and creating an efficient schedule
- Strong interpersonal skills for talking to patients, healthcare providers, and insurance companies
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Ability to multi-task and manage time well
- Great analytical and decision-making skills
- Ability to train, motivate, and supervise subordinate staff; able to lead and motivate a team confidently
- Ability to delegate tasks as needed
- Knowledge of Spanish is an asset
- High emotional intelligence as evidenced by ability to evaluate/perceive a situation from multiple lenses and understand various perspectives in coming to program resolution
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Knowledge of legal issues in all aspects of operations to ensure compliance with regulatory agencies and rights of all clients
- Competency with Electronic Health Records
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversees the day-to-day program clinical operations; ensures the smooth operation of all program locations, managing and scheduling staff and improving processes
- Leads employees to accomplish all job objectives; inspires confidence and motivation; clearly defines expectations, and maintains personal effectiveness under pressure
- Hires and trains new employees
- Ensures that clinical staff is aware of all policies and procedures
- Supervises clinical staff and performs routine performance reviews; will empower staff to achieve their best professionally and guide them through creative problem solving
- Determines and demonstrates effective communication methods and defines appropriate lines of authority for CYM in keeping with the administrative structure; uses all methods of communication to disseminate information to staff in a timely manner
- Ensures the program is following all state/federal healthcare regulations • Identifies opportunities to increase quality, safety, effectiveness and efficiency
- Identifies indicators to measure, evaluate and improve the CYM program
- Updates patient medical records
- Oversees the purchasing, maintenance, and repair of CYM program equipment; monitors and analyzes budget and financial information and utilizes all resources in an effective and economical manner
- Will act as a liaison between clients, their families and additional care staff
