DESCRIPTION

The UC San Diego Rady School of Management provides exceptional business education through its many academic degree programs, its PhD program, and through the Beyster Institute, a nationally known expert in the niche field of Employee Ownership/Employee Stock Ownership Plans. The Rady School's values are excellence, innovation, collaboration and integrity. The staff who work at the Rady School have created a highly participatory, high-energy, upbeat environment where providing excellent customer service to our students and our faculty is a priority.

The Beyster Institute provides consulting services to a variety of business entities interested in exploring ESOPs (employee stock option plans). This position contributes to billable projects by working as part of a team with other consultants on client projects. The position receives project assignments related to financial modeling and forecasting related to employee ownership consulting projects. This position assists more senior consultants with business projects encompassing finance, accounting, tax, equity compensation, retirement plans (i.e. ESOPs employee stock option plans) and business management.

The focus of this position is to use qualitative, quantitative and technical skills, including forecasting and financial modeling to contribute to client projects. The position uses a complex Excel-based forecasting model that is a core component of consulting projects. The position works on needs assessments, feasibility studies, forecasting, business reports, and business projections---all with a focus on the specialized area of employee ownership and equity compensation plans.

This position interacts with clients in a support role under the direction of other consultants and to a small degree, independently. There is the possibility for professional growth and promotion in this thriving niche consulting specialty while also enjoying the benefits of a mentoring atmosphere in a university environment.

This position interacts with graduate students from the Rady School's MBA and Finance programs, orienting them to the Beyster Institute's mission, staff and work expectations, and may train them on the use of the forecasting model used by the Beyster Institute.
