PAY

$15/hr + $1/hr performance-based summer bonus

SCHEDULE

Certifications & Trainings in May, part-time

Season (Memorial Day Weekend – Labor Day, afternoons after school starts)

Monday-Saturday, closed Sundays

Shift hours vary (Saturdays and holidays are required)

DUTIES

Your pre-season tasks would include assisting the Lifeguard Manager with the following:

• Recruit, hire, and train approximately 130+ seasonal Lifeguards.

• Assist with trainings for Lifeguard certification and re-certification (under the direction of a certified trainer).

Your typical day would include:

• Respond to first aid emergencies and evaluate park safety on a daily basis.

• Report all first aid emergencies to Lifeguard Manager and filling out appropriate paperwork accurately and according to company policy.

• Maintain First Aid supplies

• Respond to customer inquiries and complaints according to company policy.

• Maintain clean atmosphere and professional appearance and conduct.

• Conduct CPR audits on Lifeguards.

• Assist guests with lifejackets.

• Attend weekly in-service training meetings for Lifeguards & EMTs.

• Work at least 1 lifeguard shift per week

• Swim two 500’s and set a good example for the lifeguards

QUALIFICATIONS

Our ideal EMT is responsible, dependable, self-motivated, adaptable, and has the following education, skills, and experience:

• Must be at least 18 years of age

• Utah EMT Basic Certification

• Red Cross Waterpark Lifeguard Certification

• Red Cross CPR for Professional Rescuer Certification

• 1 year EMT experience a plus

• Lifeguard experience a plus

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Strong interpersonal skills

• Ability to maintain a high level of integrity and confidentiality

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, sometimes demanding working conditions; Working in the heat and sun is required, and walking through the park several times a day is required.
