Job Title: Firmware Developer

Job Location: Huntsville, Alabama

Job Description:

Are you a skilled Firmware Developer with over 5 years of experience? Join our development team supporting the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) (GMD) system integration, test, and readiness (SITR) Program. Located in Huntsville, AL, you'll play a crucial role in designing and programming firmware for our groundbreaking products. As a Firmware Developer at our company, you'll leverage your extensive knowledge of coding languages, including Python, C++, and Java, and demonstrate proficiency in handling hardware.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and program firmware for company products.
Utilize coding languages such as Python, C++, and Java.
Demonstrate expertise in handling hardware.

Qualifications:

Active DoD Secret clearance prior to start.
Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry.
5 or more years of related work experience or equivalent combination of technical education and experience.

Required Skills:

FPGA/Xilinx and associated development tools.
VHDL/Verilog.
MATLAB/Octave.
DSP.
C++.
Python.
Linux development.
Effective communication of ideas through white papers and technical design meetings.

Experience in the Following Applications and Tools:

Relational Databases.
Programming Languages (C++, Java, MATLAB, Python).
Operating Systems: Windows, Linux.

Desired Skills:

In addition to the required skills, the ideal candidate will have some familiarity with:

Basic Linux System Administration.
RPMs and YUM.
GIT/GitLab.
Agile development processes.
Continuous integration tool support - GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins.
Shell scripting (Bash, any scripting experience).
PCIe, Serial Peripheral Interface (SPI).
Atlassian Tools (Jira, Confluence, etc.).
Strong math skills.
