Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM OR 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM (Manager's discretion)
On-Call: Possibly required
Salary: $70,000.00 DOE

PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Under the direction of the Sr. Manager IT Operations, the Desktop Support Engineer/System Administrator supports client system infrastructure, software, and associated functions. Utilizes communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to identify, communicate, and resolve complex system issues, optimizing technology investments.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Provide system administration for enterprise applications and client hardware.
- Resolve complex issues escalated by Help Desk or other staff.
- Assist IT staff as needed for project and Credit Union requirements.
- Evaluate and implement cost-saving and efficiency-enhancing ideas.
- Design and implement new applications, technologies, and enhancements.
- Ensure compatibility and interoperability of in-house computing systems.
- Serve as subject matter expert for Active Directory and Office 365.
- Create, engineer, and maintain complex GPOs and systems to streamline processes.
- Ensure adherence to credit union standards.
- Coordinate and conduct in-depth tests, including end-user reviews.
- Collaborate with end users to define system goals and resolve issues.
- Manage complex software and hardware deployment projects.
Administrative Responsibilities:

- Strong knowledge of Microsoft environments including GPOs, Active Directory, endpoint security, imaging, and virtualization.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor s degree or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 5 years of related experience.
- Proficiency in server and client software implementation, hardware, and network infrastructure.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Experience in team-oriented environments.
- Ability to handle confidential information responsibly.
- Flexibility to work extended hours when necessary.
Information Technology Skills:
- Required: Solid understanding of Windows server/desktop OS, virtualization, Microsoft authentication systems, O365 administration, PowerShell scripting.
- Preferred: Experience with ATM security/network/server design, patch management, web server implementation, VMware, disaster recovery, forensic evidence procedures.
Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations (Preferred):
- Any Microsoft or security-related certifications.
